The Closed Qualifier for the CIS Minor has been brought to an end, with four more teams for the event decided following today's matches.

After four CIS Minor teams were decided on the first day of the Closed Qualifier, the action continued today with 12 teams still in contention for the remaining eight spots.

starix and seized will play the Minor together with UnderPressure

HOLLYWOOD and Savelii "⁠jmqa⁠" Bragin's LAN DODGERS, as well as MOLLIHblE and Monolith, were the teams to be eliminated in the first round of the lower bracket. The action then continued with UnderPressure—a team that features Denis "⁠seized⁠" Kostin, Dmitry "⁠hooch⁠" Bogdanov and Sergey "⁠starix⁠" Ischuk—, defeating Atlants 2-0 (16-14 Dust2, 16-11 Mirage) to qualify for the Minor.

Another close game was played between RAVE and Syman, with the latter team—which has Uzbek player Sanjar "⁠SANJI⁠" Kuliev and Maksim "⁠t0rick⁠" Zaikin from Azerbaijan among their ranks—, taking the 2-0 victory to qualify for the Minor.

Gambit, who finalized their roster with Dmitry "⁠dimasick⁠" Matvienko and Sergey "⁠Ax1Le⁠" Rykhtorov, faced PUGSTAR5 in their final match, and took a narrow 2-0 win, beating their opponents on Mirage in overtime and on Overpass 16-14.

The last CIS Minor spot was claimed by pro100, with Leonard "⁠kenzor⁠" Volodarchuk putting up a great performance as his team beat FORZE 2-0, 16-14 on Mirage and 16-7 on Inferno.

The CIS Minor will take place in Katowice, Poland, on January 16-20. $50,000 is up for grabs, as well as two places at the IEM Katowice Closed Qualifier and one for the Minor playoff.
